Why BeachBody Programs Work For Me

Not unlike many other females in their 20s, weight and health is an important issue. For me, it was a struggle. Something happened to my body after I passed my 25th birthday. The weight came on and REFUSED to budge. It was mind blowing to me that I could work out daily, eat precisely the calories allotted to me and yet still not lose more than one pound. It was infuriating to say the least, and discouraging. I wasn’t new to fitness or nutrition. You could ask me anything about how to work out and what to eat and I’d be able to correctly inform you. I did my research, always doing research.
It was this last year or so where I really started to feel uncomfortable in my skin but was throwing up my hands because everything I tried had no results. Weight Watchers in the past had worked wonders so I gave it another shot but I couldn’t get a handle on it. I had started trying to eat “clean” and I struggled following this with Weight Watchers. I didn’t want to eat the low fat or sugar free items because I knew through my research that these foods were more processed than the full fat, and that sugar free was not actually sugar free with the sweeteners they added in the processing. I moved on and read “The Fast Metabolism Diet,” “The Whole 30,” more research on Paleo and I attempted each of these, ending in failure. For me, none of these were maintainable. Yeah, the first week I got results, but I felt so deprived and my body so stressed that I wound up binge eating after a week and reversing any benefit that I may have had.
And then….
Hello, 21 Day Fix.

I knew about this program, had contemplated getting it years ago but shied away from it. It sounded time consuming, hard and expensive. I had heard about coaches and instantly thought pyramid scheme and wanted nothing to do with it. Fast forward to March 2016. An old friend of mine looked fantastic at an event we were at together and told me she was on her 3rd round of the 21 Day Fix. My interest was piqued. Within that week, she sure enough became a coach for the program so I called her about it. Her passion towards Beach Body and the 21 Day Fix program so was excitable she won me over instantly and I placed my order. I am now 4 months in to using Beach Body products and I have to say this is what I was looking for all along. It follows everything I was looking for and needing!
Clean Eating √ Portion Control √ Effective Workouts √ Support system √ Delicious nutritional supplements √

When I started this, the clean eating was not a problem because I had already been eating that way for the most part, portion control was an issue but the containers given to me helped with this. The support system is what really has led me to my success. Every weight loss/fitness program I have tried, I did alone. I’d sometimes not even tell anyone what I was doing because I knew I would likely quit and be on to the next within a week or two. With the 21 Day Fix I was immediately added into a social media accountability group where everyone was on a fitness journey with a Beach Body product. They provided incentive through prizes, challenges to make it fun to participate, I loved it! The first week I was flying high and down 6lbs! And the next week came and I went out drinking and binged. In my mind, that was it! I failed once again, I wasted this money AGAIN, but I was wrong. I decided to be honest with my coach and myself, and I told her I messed up. Told her I failed, and do you know what she said? She told me that it was okay, that today was a new day, start again…..and I did.
It was this support from her and the other coaches in the group that kept me hanging on, allowed me to keep restarting each time I messed up and the longer I held on, the less I messed up. I have learned how to eat healthy, I have learned to take time for me and plan my meals each week. I have confidence now; I have strength you can see!
It was after 2 months of following the 21 Day Fix that I was encouraged to become a coach. I committed. And not for money, I didn’t sign up as a coach to be a salesperson; I signed up to keep ME on track and to inspire others that are struggling to find a program that works. I have developed such a passion and a belief in these products that I 100% love telling people about and hoping to inspire people to become healthier!
When I talk to people about it, especially those that are interested in joining, they assume I can’t eat certain items, or I can’t have alcohol, that I’m hungry all the time. This can’t be further from the truth! Obviously I’m not drinking booze every day, but I give myself cheat days for events. I allow cheats and treats here and there. The important part to being successful is finding that balance. Life is complicated and hectic; you have to let yourself indulge once in awhile. I think that I would implode if I forever denied myself pizza. So I eat pizza, and I go out for drinks but I do it in moderation.
If you’re someone like me, that can’t stick to a program that works then I encourage you to take a look at the 21 Day Fix. Ask me about it! It’s become a huge part of my life, I truly enjoy discussing it!
